About This Course

Prepare for KNEC Diploma in Sales and Marketing Module III Principles and Practice of Management examinations with two complete theory past-paper lessons: March/April 2024 and November 2024. Both lessons sit under the 2024 examination-year chapter, with a separate lesson for each sitting.

All 14 printed examination questions are answered, organised into 28 question parts. Each part carries 10 marks and asks for five points. The lessons provide five explained points per answer, giving 140 points across the two papers. Questions have been checked against the supplied scans and are followed by clearly labelled Answer sections.

Management topics covered

  • Management and leadership: responsibilities at different management levels, Weber’s bureaucratic principles, the systems approach, participative and free-reign leadership, coordination and decentralised decisions.
  • Strategy and organisation: corporate strategy, strategic plans, implementing plans, managing change, organising work, line and staff structures and disaster preparedness for international businesses.
  • People and motivation: recruitment, fair promotion procedures, job enrichment, positive reinforcement, succession planning, remuneration and cultural differences in management.
  • Quality and control: total quality management, effective control systems, the duties and limitations of internal audit and corporate social responsibility.

How to use the lessons

Choose a sitting and attempt its questions before reading the answers. For an “explain five” question, identify five distinct points and explain how each addresses the issue in the question. For a scenario, relate the explanation to the organisation or decision described. Practise writing your own response rather than memorising isolated headings.

The source papers instruct candidates to answer any five questions. For revision, these lessons cover every printed question, including both parts of each. Compare your response with the explained points, identify omissions and revisit the relevant management concept.

This collection covers the two available Principles and Practice of Management theory papers in the supplied Sales and Marketing archive. It is not a complete collection of every Module III unit. These independent revision answers are not official KNEC marking schemes.

Continue your revision with Sales and Marketing Module I and Module II.
